Intercultural Communication Workshop Level 2

Level 2: Learn how change and transition result in challenges for newcomers and the need for specific types of support. Learn how emotions, judgments and perceptions that emerge from different cultural values influence behavior. Learn about pragmatics and how language and culture interact. Identify behaviours associated with teaching and learning and the variations in “normal” associated with various cultural value orientations. Explore how cultural values show up in team work and how they affect the functioning of the team. Explore how culture shows up in the job interview situation and how it influences judgments and outcomes for newcomers. Learn to make sense of intercultural misunderstandings and generate informed actions. 
You must take Intercultural Communications 1 before registering for Level 2.
