Capacity: 25

This webinar will guide attendees through the best practices in volunteer recruitment and re-engaging volunteers. With a focus on what volunteer managers can accomplish in smaller communities, this webinar will offer practical tips and tricks to not only capture volunteers for the first time, but retain them.

The guest speaker, Graeme Dearden, is the Senior Coordinator of Volunteer Alberta’s Programs area. He has happily worked and volunteered within Alberta's nonprofit sector for over eight years and is a practicing artist based in Edmonton.

During his time in the nonprofit sector, Graeme has worked between Calgary and Edmonton for Canadian Artists Representation/Le Front des Artistes Canadiens and Volunteer Alberta. He has also served on the board of directors and taught for The Alberta Printmaker’s Society in Calgary. Graeme also chairs the Membership Committee for Sundance Housing Cooperative in Edmonton.

In addition to his nonprofit and artistic work, Graeme worked in the architectural decorative glass field for over four years and received his Bachelor's of Fine Art from the Alberta College of Art + Design's Glass Program in 2015.
