Rural Routes has two important announcements to share with you today!

First, it's time for Rural Routes annual survey!

We want to hear from you! Please take time to answer our survey questions. Your contribution will provide us with valuable information, and help us continue to offer quality services for you.
This survey is for anyone who has accessed our services, including:
  • Learning Facilitators;
  • Coordinators;
  • Instructors or Teachers;
  • Volunteer Tutors; and
  • Paid Tutors.
We expect this survey to take you approximately 15 - 20 minutes to complete, and contains questions regarding your experiences accessing Rural Routes services. If needed, you can save your progress and return to this survey at a later time. In the fall of 2017, Rural Routes will make the survey findings available.
 If you complete this survey by March 31 you will have a chance to win One $100 Visa or One of Two $25 VISA cards.

Second, you are invited to take part in the Temporary Foreign Worker Information Webinar

Our last hosted session was such a success that we invited Nicole back from the Temporary Foreign Worker Advisory Office, with the Government of Alberta!

Rural Routes Online has partnered with the Temporary Foreign Worker Advisory Office to present the following online learning opportunity:

Target Audience

ESL providers and Settlement workers who support temporary foreign workers and employees
Session Description 
The webinar will provide basic information on the services of the Temporary Foreign Worker Advisory Office and the rights and responsibilities of foreign workers and employers.
Note: the term ‘foreign worker’ includes anyone with a visitor, study or work permit
Session Outcomes
  • Educate participants who may be or come into contact with foreign workers or employers of foreign workers about the free services available at the Temporary Foreign Worker Advisory Office.
  • Educate participants about the rights and responsibilities of foreign workers and employers.
  • Provide resources for additional services.
Presenter: Nicole Caudron, is an Advisor with the Temporary Foreign Worker Advisory Office, with the Government of Alberta.
