Microcredentials with Alberta Routes
Build practical skills and earn recognition for the work you do with English language learners. Alberta Routes microcredentials bring together our workshops into structured learning pathways for tutors and community educators.
What is a microcredential?
A microcredential is a short, focused learning pathway designed to help you build specific skills you can apply right away. Through a series of interactive Alberta Routes workshops, you’ll gain practical tools, complete brief learning checks, and earn digital badges that recognize your progress.
Microcredentials offer a flexible way to grow your knowledge while continuing your work in community learning, literacy, and newcomer-serving organizations.
How it works?
- Apply your learning: Build strategies and tools you can immediately use in tutoring and community education settings.
- Attend workshops: Participate in a series of Alberta Routes workshops focused on practical skills for community educators.
- Earn digital badges: After each workshop, complete a short learning check and earn a badge recognizing your progress.
- Work toward a microcredential: Complete the required workshops and additional sessions to earn the full microcredential.
